For the fall semester of 2009 I am interning and Rocket XL, an online marketing company. I found out about Rocket after interning at Cossette this summer. Cossette is a traditional advertising agency on Madison Ave in New York. It is one of the largest agencies in Canada, with offices all around the world. Rocket XL is in the Cossette network, a few of their employees worked near me at the office in New York and set me up with the company out here.
I was a little nervous switching from a traditional ad agency to a completely web based process. Although I am very comfortable with computers, I wasn't entirely sure I knew what I was getting into. I was excited to start this venture because in the industry, all the talk is about this up and coming service. With the arguable decline in effectivness of traditional advertising, company's are relying more and more on the internet, especially on the creation of their own websites and others blogging sites, to promote their product. Rocket XL is here to be the intermediary, helping connect companies and their products with the world though the internet.
